Restylane® fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body that helps keep the skin hydrated and plump. PROCEDURE
A Restylane® filler treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Before your procedure, a topical numbing cream may be applied to maximize comfort. Most Restylane® fillers also contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic that helps improve comfort during treatment.
Your provider will carefully inject the selected filler into the treatment area using a fine needle. Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur after treatment but typically resolves within several days.
Results are visible immediately, with your final results becoming more apparent as any swelling subsides over the following days to two weeks. Patients are generally advised to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, excessive heat, and prolonged sun exposure for the first 24 hours following treatment.
